site.btaDeputy Prime Minister Donchev to Coordinate Local Elections Planning

August 7 (BTA) - The Council of Ministers adopted a
decision on the planning and conduct of nationwide elections for
 municipal councillors and mayors on October 27, the government
press service reported on Wednesday.

Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev will be in charge of
coordinating the planning of the elections.

The Council of Ministers also assigned duties and
responsibilities to other government ministers with regard to
the local elections. Justice Minister Danail Kirilov will be in
charge of issuing penal orders in case of Election Code
violations committed by regional governors. IG/VE
