site.btaGERB Leader Borissov Resigns from Chairmanship, Participation in Parliamentary Committees
GERB leader Boyko Borissov resigned from the chairmanship of the parliamentary Foreign Policy Committee and from participation in committees in the National Assembly, the party said on Thursday.
Borissov thanked all MPs who supported his election as Chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee with their votes on Wednesday.
After Borissov's resignation, the GERB-UDF group nominated Yordanka Fandakova for the position of Chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee.
The GERB leader has started a working tour of the country, during which he will meet with mayors, municipal councilors and GERB supporters. The GERB Executive Committee is already preparing a schedule for the visits, as well as the current topics on the agenda, concerning the problems of the municipalities, which will be the topic during the meetings.
