Interior Minister Vouchkov: No Specific Threat to Bulgaria After Terror Attacks in France

Sofia, January 11 (BTA) - There is no specific threat to
Bulgaria at this point after the terror attacks in France,
Interior Minister Vesselin Vouchkov told journalists Sunday.

He noted that after the events in France additional security
measures have been taken, particularly at Bulgaria's train
stations, airports and borders. Vouchkov added that all the
institutions are working in coordination with each other.

Vouchkov also commented on a statement made by Prime Minister
Boyko Borissov in an interview for Nova TV on Saturday, in which
the PM said that the Bulgarian services had prevented a terror
attack several days ago, without giving any details on the
matter. The Interior Minister told journalists that the case
mentioned by Borissov had not taken place in Bulgaria and had
been part of international cooperation with the participation of
the Bulgarian services. Vouchkov also said that the operation
had been conducted after the terror attacks in France and had
had a favourable outcome.

Vouchkov expressed the hope that the EU will show tolerance and
understanding towards Bulgaria regarding the problems with
refugees and will assist the country, including with financial
resources.
