President Radev Congratulates Boxer Svetlana Kamenova, Who Was Eliminated in Women's 57kg Quarterfinals in Paris

Congratulations to Svetlana Kamenova for her fighting spirit and great game, President Rumen Radev said in a post on Facebook on the occasion of the boxing match of the Bulgarian, who was eliminated in the quarterfinals in the women's boxing 57 kg category at the Olympics in Paris.

"She found the courage to fight not only for victory in what was considered a doomed match, but also for upholding normality and Olympic principles in sport," the head of state said.

Kamenova lost by 0:5 (27:30, 28:29, 28:29, 27:30, 27:30) judges' votes to Lin Yu-ting of Taiwan. After the match Kamenova was congratulated by the President of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee Stefka Kostadinova, who watched the match from the stands. The Bulgarian camp was extremely disappointed after Svetlana Kamenova's loss in the quarterfinals of the Olympic boxing tournament, BTA's special correspondent in Paris reported.
