The Bulgarian athletes snagged three gold, four silver, and two bronze medals at the Balkan U18 Championships in Maribor.
Radina Velichkova won the gold in the women's 100 m and also beat the national record by finishing in 11.48 seconds. She also won the silver in the women's 4x100 m relay together with Iva Deliverska, Kristina Petkova, and Anna Milanova. The four athletes set a national record by finishing in 47.11 seconds.
Dimo Andreev won the gold medal in the men's hammer throw.
Hristiyan Kasabov won the gold in the men's 110 m hurdles and set a national record with a mark of 13.53.
Natali Kostova and Natali Zaharieva won the silver and bronze, respectively, in the women's high jump.
Iva Deliverska snagged the silver in the women's 110 m hurdles and beat the national record with a mark of 13.46.
Kristina Petkova won the silver in the women's 400 m by finishing in 54.64 seconds, thus qualifying for the World Athletics U20 Championships.
Raya Dimitrova snagged the bronze in the women's 100 m sprint.
