The parliamentary Budget and Finance Committee voted Thursday to support a motion for free medicines for the treatment of acute viral infections and antibiotics for children aged 0-7, Kostadin Angelov, Chair of the Joint Governance Council and GERB-UDF MP, told a news briefing in the National Assembly.

Angelov explained that about BGN 20 million will be needed for the measure, according to estimates from the National Health Information System about the funds spent in 2024 on the same medicines and in the same age group.
