site.btaInternational Monetary Fund Expert Mission Visits Bulgaria February 12-18

An expert mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is visiting Bulgaria between February 12 and 18 2025, the Ministry of Finance said Wednesday. The mission, headed by Fabian Bornhorst, will meet with representatives of the Ministry of Finance and the Bulgarian National Bank.

During the meetings, the current macroeconomic developments and the current economic situation will be discussed. The visit takes place in the context of the IMF's monitoring of the policies implemented by the EU member states.

The IMF mission's expert visits are part of the usual format by which the international financial institution interacts with member states with which it does not have agreed implementation programmes.
