Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov demanded that personnel changes in the management of the National Toll Administration be undertaken as a matter of urgency. The aim is to make it work fully and not to harm the budget, the government press service said Wednesday after the Cabinet meeting.

At the previous meeting of the Council of Ministers, the PM ordered strengthening of traffic control and more prevention, and in connection with a report from the Road Infrastructure Agency on the possibilities of upgrading the toll system, he instructed its measures to be implemented immediately to increase the collection of tolls.

Zhelyazkov thanked the Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) for its timely response to the situation of the Krivia tunnel in the Kresna Gorge. Within a week, RIA carried out repair works in the tunnel, which had been without lighting for years.
