The Government on Wednesday adopted a position on Bulgaria's accession to the New Frontiers for Social Policy: Investing in the Future Declaration, which will be adopted at a meeting of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris on February 14. Bulgaria's accession to the document will demonstrate the country's readiness to become a member of the OECD and commit to the organisation's policies, the Government Information Service said.

During the forum, the OECD ministers for social policy will examine the new frontiers of social policy and discuss solutions to the challenges of equality, non-discrimination, and well-being. Among the topics for discussion will be social investment, which is a priority for OECD member countries. The declaration will be adopted at the end of the plenary session.

Joining the OECD is a top priority of Bulgaria's foreign policy, the press release reads.
