In October 2024, services production in Bulgaria fell by 0.4%, reversing the country’s month-on-month uptrend of 0.2% in September 2024, according to first estimates from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, released on Friday.
In October 2024, services production in Bulgaria went up by 5.6%, year-on-year. This is a slowing rate of growth, given the fact that, in September 2024, compared to September 2023, services production in Bulgaria rose by 7.0%.
In October 2024, compared with September 2024, seasonally adjusted services production increased by 0.3% in the euro area and by 0.5% in the EU. In September 2024, services production fell by 0.1% in the euro area and grew by 0.2% in the EU.
In October 2024, compared with October 2023, services production increased by 1.7% in the euro area and by 1.5% in the EU.
Among EU members for which data are available, the highest annual increases were recorded in Luxembourg (+9.0%), Lithuania (+8.2%) and Estonia (+6.7%). The largest decreases were observed in Denmark (-10.3%), Greece (-8.8%) and Romania (-7.7%).
