London, Vienna, Istanbul, Frankfurt and Milan were the five most preferred destinations for passengers passing through Sofia Airport in December 2024, according to statistics published on the airport's Facebook page on Friday. The only change compared to November last year is the fifth position, where Milan displaced the Italian capital Rome.

The data showed that in the last month of 2024, 5,254 flights were operated at Sofia Airport to 92 destinations in 38 countries, served by 36 airlines.

At the beginning of the year, Sofia Airport also announced that direct flights to Paris Orly Airport will begin on March 30, which will be served by Easyjet. Flights are scheduled to operate three times a week, Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday.
