In November 2024, the production index in the Construction" sector increased by 1.8% compared to the previous month, according to preliminary and seasonally adjusted data from the National Statistical Institute (NSI), released on Friday. The calendar-adjusted data show an increase of 8.6% in construction production compared to the same month in 2023.

In October, the monthly increase in the sector was 0.1%, and the annual increase was 6.3%, according to a report from the NSI.

Monthly changes

In November 2024, a 3.3% increase was recorded compared to the previous month in the output of specialized construction activities, a 1.6% increase was recorded in the output of construction of facilities, as well as in the construction of buildings (0.6%). In October, statistics indicated an increase in the construction of buildings (1.2%), and in the output of construction of facilities (0.5%), and a decrease in the output of specialized construction activities (1.3%).

Annual changes

In November 2024, compared to the same month in 2023, a growth of 11.8% was recorded in specialized construction activities, 8.8% in the construction of facilities and 5.9% in the output of construction of buildings. In the previous month, a report from the National Statistical Institute showed a registered growth of 8.9% in specialized construction activities, 7.1% in the construction of facilities and 3.5% in the output from building construction.
