site.btaBTA to Host Round Table on Food in Tourism
A round table on the impact of food trends and their quality on the tourism sector will be held at the BTA National Press Club in Sofia at 11:00 on Thursday, organizers from the Association for Affordable and Quality Food announced.
The discussion will cover the topics of attracting tourists through culinary experiences; partnerships between hoteliers and restaurateurs to create integrated tourism products; the growing popularity of culinary tourism and how restaurants can benefit from it; the impact of food trends on the tourism sector; the future of enogastronomic tourism.
The round table will be attended by representatives of the Consumer Protection Commission, the Association of Fish Producers "BG Fish", the Bulgarian Association of Restaurants, the Bulgarian Hotel and Restaurant Association, and the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency.
The event will also be attended by officials from the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Economy and Industry, and the University of Food Technology - Plovdiv.
