Unemployment rate in Bulgaria in December 2023 remained approximately the same as the previous month at 4.3%, according to seasonally adjusted data released by Eurostat on Thursday. Some 130,000 people were registered as unemployed.

Unemployment rate in Bulgaria in December 2022 was 4% with 124,000 people.

Youth unemployment among Bulgarians under 25 rose to 12.5% with 15,000 people in December 2023 compared to 12.2% the previous month. Youth unemployment in December 2022 was 9.2%.

Unemployment rate in the EU in December 2023 remained the same as the previous month at 5.9%. it has increased since December 2022, when it was recorded at 6.1%.

Unemployment rate in the euro area in December 2023 remained the same as the previous month at 6.4% and dropped since December 2022, when it was 6.7%.
