The parliamentary group of Democracy, Rights and Freedoms (DRF) expressed its readiness to support a regular government formed by GERB-UDF, BSP – United Left, and There Is Such a People (TISP), DRF said in a press release on Sunday, following a meeting between the leadership of the DRF parliamentary group and representatives of GERB-UDF, BSP – United Left and TISP at the National Assembly.
DRF is the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) faction whose members remained loyal to MRF founder and former honorary chair Ahmed Dogan when the party split into two in 2024, with the other faction being Delyan Peevski’s MRF – New Beginning.
"The leadership of the DRF-MRF parliamentary group expressed readiness to engage in discussions to achieve broader consensus on the implementation of important national priorities, including discussions on support for the formation of a regular government," the press release said.
DRF said that the negotiating teams presented their vision for the joint governance of the country.
Еarlier on Sunday, the leadership of the BSP – United Left coalition gathered for a coalition council, where its representatives discussed their positions on the future governance of the country.
