Tourists should take into account the winter conditions - there is snow, it is cold and visibility is reduced, the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) of the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC) told BTA on Sunday. 

In the high parts of the mountains it is cloudy, there is fog and light wind. The snow cover is about 10 centimetres. Temperatures are negative, reaching minus 10C in some places.

Lift facilities in the ski resorts are working. 

There have been no incidents with tourists over the past twenty-four hours, the MRS said.

The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) announced a yellow code for snowfall for ten regions in the country on Sunnday. The warning is in force for the regions of Haskovo, Plovdiv, Pazardzhik, Kardzhali, Smolyan, Blagoevgrad, Sofia region, Sofia city, Kyustendil and Pernik.
