site.btaCentral Bank Keeps Base Interest Rate at 3.79% in February

As of February 1, the base interest rate (simple per annum interest) is 3.79%, the central bank said on its website on Wednesday. The rate remains unchanged from January, when the Bulgarian National Bank reduced it by 0.01% from December 2023.

The base interest rate was 3.79% in November, 3.64% in October, 3.53% in September, 3.29% in August, 3.12% in July, 2.96% in June, 2.77% in May, 2.47% in April, 2.17% in March, 1.82% in February, and 1.42% in January.

The central bank sets the best interest rate pursuant to Art. 35 of the Bulgarian National Bank Act.
