The Council of Ministers approved a plan to control and prevent the spread of African swine fever in the country for the 2024 - 2026 period, the press service of the Cabinet reported.

The actions proposed in the plan were a continuation of the package of measures implemented on the territory of the country from 2020, for the organization of publicizing, informing, reacting and managing the forces and means of the executive authorities.

In implementing the measures in the plan, in addition to the structures of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Environment and Water, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, the Ministry of Finance, faculties of veterinary medicine, the Bulgarian Veterinary Union and the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria will also be involved.
