Bulgarian biotech company Nasekomo, which is developing technological solutions to industrialise the cultivation of insects for protein production, is expected to sign a memorandum of cooperation with German technology giant Siemens in Dubai on the sidelines of the COP28 climate conference, Maria Alexandrova, head of innovation projects at the company told BTA. She took part in a discussion organized in the Bulgarian pavilion at COP28.

Bulgarians are also organising a light show under the dome of the Expo City in Dubai, where the forum is being held. UK company ImpactNest, founded by Galina Vacheva, is joining forces with MP-STUDIO, the company behind the LUNAR Festival of Lights, for the WAKE-UP Experience event. Indian spiritual leader Sadguru will present his global initiative "Save the Soil". The UNHCR is a partner of the event and Milena Stoycheva, the Bulgarian Minister of Innovation and Growth, has been invited to give a speech.
