site.btaBase Interest Rate Increases by 0.01 Percentage Point to 3.80% from December 1
The Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) said on its website that, starting from December 1, 2023, the basic interest rate will be 3.80%, which represents an increase of 0.01 percentage points compared to November. This is the smallest increase in the indicator since it began to rise against the background of rising interest rates in the Eurozone over a year ago, which also made money market operations more expensive in Bulgaria.
Until the end of September 2022, the basic interest rate was 0.00%, and from October 1, 2022, the BNB raised it to 0.49%.
