The Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology (INSAIT) at the St Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia has outshined universities like Harvard, Princeton, and Oxford at the prestigious ACM-SIAM Symposium on Discrete Algorithms (SODA) 2025, with more accepted publications, the Education and Science Ministry’s press centre said.
This marks the first time in the 35-year history of the forum that the work of a Bulgarian institution has been accepted.
INSAIT has submitted six publications, surpassing Oxford (two publications), Princeton (four publications), and Harvard (five publications). The Institute now stands alongside leading institutions such as Berkeley and China’s Tsinghua University. SODA, one of the world’s top three forums for algorithms, is currently being held in New Orleans, US.
With INSAIT’s participation, Bulgaria is making a significant mark in the field of algorithms at the highest scientific level. INSAIT’s accepted publications are available here.
