Digital learning materials in support of the tourism industry were presented at a special event in Sofia. The resources have been prepared under the ProTourism project of the Erasmus+ programme, Klett Bulgaria publishing house said on Friday. 

The project is focused on improving the quality of English language teaching in vocational tourism schools, with an emphasis on specific knowledge and skills, including customer service and communication in the tourism sector. The project was implemented by Klett Bulgaria publishing house, together with the Association of Tourism Schools (Bulgaria), Catering and Tourism High School Celje, and the publishing houses Klett Beograde (Serbia) and Profil Klett (Croatia).

Through its iZZI educational platform, the Klett Bulgaria publishing house provides free access to all resources created under the project. The materials meet the current requirements of employers in the field of tourism and are unique in their kind. The product provides teachers with modern teaching strategies and tools that ensure active student participation. It is a very efficient resource to supplement and enrich the English language lessons in tourism vocational high schools studying a specialized language by profession.
