site.btaDeputy Agriculture Minister Stratev to Take Part in High-level Rural Policy Forum in Spain

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Deyan Stratev will take part in a High-level Rural Policy Forum on "Shaping the Future of Rural Areas" in Spain's Siguenza on Thursday, his ministry said in a press release Wednesday. The meeting aims to gather key political actors to advance the political agenda for the future of rural areas, prepare a fruitful debate in the Council of the EU, and support Member States to take action to unlock the potential of rural areas in achieving the Long-term Vision for EU’s Rural Areas (LTVRA) objectives.

The forum will bring together over 200 participants from the 27 Member States, targeting primarily policy makers and public authorities at EU and national involved in the management of EU funds, covering notably the Cohesion Policy and the Common Agricultural Policy.
