Bulgarian President Rumen Radev held a meeting with the Minister of Economy and Industry, Bogdan Bogdanov, at the President's Administration on Tuesday. Radev briefed Bogdanov on recent talks he held at the highest political level on attracting strategic investments in Bulgaria, Radev's Press Secretariat reported.

"Attracting strategic investments requires the collective efforts of all institutions, as well as high-level political support and guarantees. It is a cause the presidential institution has never stopped working for," Radev said.

Radev congratulated Bogdanov for his work at the head of the InvestBulgaria Agency under the last caretaker government when one of the largest economic zones in the Balkans was established in the western village of Dobroslavtsi. The project provides opportunities for large-scale investments in the green economy, the automotive industry, and electric mobility.

Bogdanov said that work on key projects for Bulgaria continues and that efforts in this direction should be built upon. He stressed that there is a need to provide predictability for businesses in order to put potential investment intentions into practice. Bogdanov expressed appreciation for Radev's visit to the Thessaloniki International Trade Fair, where Bulgaria was Honoured Country. He also highlighted the contribution of the caretaker government, the presidential institution, and the Ministry of Economy and Industry to the organization of Bulgaria's participation in the fair, which was held between September 9 and 17.
