site.btaBulgaria Becomes Full Member of European Molecular Biology Conference

At its regular meeting on Wednesday, the government approved Bulgaria’s full membership in the European Molecular Biology Conference (EMBC), the Council of Ministers said in a press release.
Bulgaria’s accession to the intergovernmental organization will allow Bulgarian scientists to participate in international projects alongside more than 2,000 leading researchers in the field of molecular biology. This membership will enable them to engage in close scientific collaboration in the natural sciences with other member states and partners.
Bulgarian researchers will gain access to the organization’s educational and financial resources, expanding their opportunities to develop international projects and initiatives.
Bulgaria’s membership in the conference is particularly beneficial for the institutes of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences focused on natural sciences, as well as for Bulgarian higher education institutions and medical universities. It will contribute to the development of research capacity at many of the sites included in the National Roadmap for Research Infrastructure, including competence centres and centres of excellence specializing in the natural sciences.
