site.btaMPs Adopt on First Reading 2025 National Health Insurance Budget Bill

Parliament adopted on first reading here on Wednesday evening the 2025 National Health Insurance Fund Budget Bill. A total of 151 MPs voted in favour, 71 against and one abstained. Against were Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB), Vazrazhdane and Morality, Unity, Honour. One CC-DB MP abstained. 

The estimated revenues and transfers amount to BGN 9,474,716,200.  The estimated expenditure and transfers amounted to BGN 9,474,716,200, of which BGN 8,873,878,900 were for health insurance payments. The planned funds are earmarked for the purchase of medical assistance within the scope of the compulsory health insurance guaranteed by the NHIF budget.

The deadline for proposing amendments between first and second reading was reduced to five days.
