A 77-year-old man from the village of Lymanka, on the outskirts of Odesa, has died after being seriously injured in a Russian drone attack, according to Oleh Kiper, Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.

"Debris from downed drones damaged private homes on the outskirts of Odesa. Fires were sparked and are now being extinguished by the State Emergency Service," Kiper said on Telegram.

In his words, during an air raid alert from 8:43 p.m. to 11:02 p.m. on Tuesday, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile attack on Zatoka in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district.

One missile struck an empty sanatorium, completely destroying the building. No casualties were reported, Kiper said.

In Odesa, strategic infrastructure was also hit by Russian drone strikes late on Tuesday, Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov reported on Telegram. Parts of the city were once again left without electricity, water, and heating, he added.

Odesa Region is home to the third largest community of expatriate Bulgarians, numbering more than 150,000 people, according to an official population census in Ukraine in 2001. Between 50,000 and 60,000 Bulgarians live in the regional capital, Odesa, while others are concentrated in the districts of Bolhrad, Izmail, and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi.
