The government approved a draft protocol for amending an Agreement on the implementation of a treaty between Bulgaria and Russia on social security, said the government press office Wednesday. The amendment is related to the upcoming introduction of the euro in Bulgaria and aims to ensure seamless payment of pensions covered by the treaty to eligible individuals.

The Minister of Labor and Social Policy has been authorized to lead the negotiations and subsequently sign the document.
