On February 13, the Bulgaria Hall will host a concert featuring virtuoso flutist Luisa Sello and maestro Orhan Salliel, who will perform classical works, the Sofia Philharmonic said.
The programme includes:
“Dance of the Comedians” by Bedrich Smetana, from the third act of The Bartered Bride opera;
Hungarian Pastorale Fantasy by Franz Doppler for flute and orchestra;
Fantasie Brillante on Themes from Bizet's Carmen by Francois Borne for flute and orchestra;
Symphony No. 1 in G minor by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky
Luisa Sello is an internationally recognized flutist. An ambassador of Italian musical culture, she has performed concerts on world-famous stages such as Carnegie Hall, Juilliard, Teatro alla Scala, Suntory Hall. She is a professor of flute at the New Bulgarian University and a lecturer at the music academies of Milan and Trieste.
Orhan Salliel is a distinguished conductor and composer. Having completed his musical education in Turkiye, the Netherlands and Finland, he has worked with leading orchestras in Europe, Asia and America. Salliel successfully combines classical music with elements of the Turkish musical tradition, creating innovative projects and compositions that are performed all over the world.
