site.btaExhibition Showcases Most Ingenious Cyber Fraud Examples
An exhibition unveiled here on Tuesday presents the most ingenious examples of cyber fraud. "The Truth Is Not in the Middle" is on at Vivacom Art Hall from January 29 to February 1 and entry is free.
The exhibition is organized by DSK Bank. Its Executive Director and Risk Management head Dimitar Dilov said at Tuesday's opening that the exhibition makes the connection between art and technology. He said the introduction of digitalization into everyday life increases risks, which has provoked the institution to draw attention to this problem
According to the latest data from Trend Agency, 64% of the population in the country has no idea about the risks associated with cyber threats, Dilov said. He said a study has found that losses caused by cyberthreats amount to $8 trillion by 2023. If that amount were an economy, it would be the world's third largest economy after the United States and China, he noted.
According to Daniel Krekov, Director of Information Security at DSK Bank and Chairman of the Cyber Security Committee at the Association of Banks in Bulgaria (ABB), there is no system that cannot be compromised, which requires the public to be educated on cyber security. The digital world is very dangerous, and the situation in the cyber world right now is like in the 1990s - each one of us has to be very careful, he said, adding that the next wave in cyber attacks will be the use of artificial intelligence.
