In February 2025, the turnover in Bulgaria's retail trade, except motor vehicles and motorcycles, at constant prices decreased by 1.7% from the previous month, according to preliminary and calendar-adjusted data released by the National Statistical Institute on Monday. The turnover increased by 2.4% from February 2024.

Monthly Variations

In February compared to January 2025, growth was reported in the turnover in the retail sales of: automotive fuel in specialized stores (2.3%); non-food products, except fuel (1.9%); food, beverages and tobacco (1.7%).

Annual Variations

In February 2025 compared to the like month of 2024, the turnover in retail sales grew for automotive fuel in specialized stores (11.5%) as well as non-food products, except fuel (3.7%). A drop was observed in the retail sales of food, beverages and tobacco (2.1%).
