President Rumen Radev announced Monday at the General Hospital for Active Treatment in Dobrich the beginning of the 22nd edition of the charity initiative "Bulgarian Christmas", which is under the patronage of the head of State and focuses on the health of Bulgarian children.

"Today we are launching the 22nd edition of the Bulgarian Christmas charity initiative under the title "Giving hope to a child in need". The aim is to provide high-tech equipment for early diagnosis and treatment. Because we believe that by providing it Bulgarian doctors will expand their opportunities to apply modern, highly effective and innovative methods of treatment. I express confidence that this year, too, many Bulgarians will open their hearts and support the initiative and together with you, who have dedicated yourselves to the health of Bulgarian children, we will make sure that thousands of children receive timely diagnosis and treatment," the head of State said.

On November 20, President Radev met with partners and donors of the Bulgarian Christmas before the start of the 22nd edition of the initiative.

“The Bulgarian Christmas is not an ordinary donation initiative, but a cause that unites more and more people around it. It also gives us the strength to believe in the future because we invest in the most precious capital - the health of our children,” Radev said in his address.
