Caretaker Foreign Minister Ivan Kondov received the Ambassador of Mongolia Sayanaa Lkhagvasuren at a meeting at the Foreign Affairs Ministry here on Friday, the Ministry said. The two sides praised the traditionally friendly relations based on shared values and common interests.

Minister Kondov noted the successful bilateral cooperation in the field of education and expressed satisfaction with the annual increase in the number of Mongolian students studying in Bulgaria. The potential for the development of trade and economic relations was highlighted - proof of which is the agreement signed in May 2023 between the Bulgarian state-owned dairy company LB Bulgaricum and the Mongolian company Apu Dairy for a license to develop, produce, sell and distribute dairy products with original Bulgarian starters in Mongolia. Specific opportunities for intensifying bilateral cooperation by negotiating agreements in the field of transport connectivity were also discussed. The good prospects for relations within the EU-Mongolia dialogue were also highlighted.

The two sides discussed the celebration next year of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Mongolia.
