site.btaDecision on National Children's Hospital Structure Should Be Finalized by July 30 - Minister

By July 30 it should be clear whether the proposed organizational structure of the future National Children's Hospital in Sofia is approved, caretaker Minister of Health Galya Kondeva said at question time in the National Assembly on Friday.

"After that, the Ministry of Health will know what to expect in the following one or two years as regards the hospital's construction. All legally conforming activities will be based on that," Kondeva said. "We have submitted the report we received from the Belgian consortium, selected by the European Investment Bank to structure this hospital, to the relevant expert boards", she added.

The Medical Institutions Act mandates that investors or owners must possess the necessary legal documents and clearly outline the structure, activities, and timelines when establishing a new medical facility.

Kondeva emphasized that the National Children's Hospital remains a top priority.
