At a meeting of the Council of Ministers on July 17, BGN 23,020,000 were approved for transfer to the Scientific Research Fund within the framework of three main project competitions related to the funding of fundamental research, the funding of fundamental research of young scientists and postdoctoral fellows, and the funding of projects for bilateral scientific and technical cooperation, said Friday Education Minister Galin Tsokov during Question Time in Parliament, responding to a question by MP Andrey Chorbanov about funds for competitions in 2024

Two days earlier - on July 15, met with the management of the Scientific Research Fund and we discussed the problem you raised and I received their assurances that if the government votes on July 17 to transfer these funds, there will be no problems with the organization of the competition session so that the best projects can be evaluated and funded in the autumn of this year, Minister Tsokov said.

The allocated funds will finance more than 100 research projects on a competitive basis.
