A joint exhibition by lecturers from the National Academy of Arts in Sofia and from the Faculty of Fine in Skopje, in the Republic of North Macedonia, opened on Thursday evening at Academia Gallery. The exhibition can be viewed until February 1.
The exhibition includes nearly 60 works by 28 lecturers from the National Academy of Arts and the Faculty of Fine Arts created with various materials and techniques in the field of fine and plastic arts, including painting, graphics, book art, illustration, paper sculptures, ceramics, porcelain and glass, textiles, photography, video art.
The Dialogue through Art exhibition is the second event through which two institutions carried out a direct dialogue with each other through art.
The cooperation in the field of culture between the two countries is dynamic and full-fledged in all its spheres, said the Ambassador of the Republic of North Macedonia to Bulgaria, Agneza Rusi-Popovska and expressed gratitude for the joint initiative.
"This exhibition is a logical continuation of the exhibition that was presented in Skopje in December. It has already been expanded with the participation of colleagues from the Skopje academy, and the pace at which we worked with our colleagues from Skopje, the speed with which we were able to realize the second exhibition in Sofia makes me optimistic that this is only the beginning of future cooperation between the Academy in Sofia and the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje," said National Academy of Arts Rector Prof. Georgi Yankov.
At the opening of the exhibition, a congratulatory address was read by Culture Minister Marian Bachev.
