There is heavy traffic at Bulgaria's border control checkpoints with Romania, Border Police said on their website Wednesday. The information is valid as at 6 am.

There is heavy traffic for trucks exiting Bulgaria through the Kardam and Oryahovo checkpoints.The Svishtov ferry service has been suspended due to technical issues. Due to repair works of the Giurgiu-Ruse bridge over the Danube on the Bulgarian side, traffic is controlled by traffic lights to let vehicles through in stages. Alternatives for the drivers in the region are the Silistra, Durankulak, Kaynardzha, and Kroushari crossings. The last two of these are closed to heavy-duty trucks; they are open to passenger cars from 8 am to 8 pm.

Traffic is normal at all border crossings with Greece, Turkiye, Serbia, and North Macedonia.
