site.btaCouncil of Ministers Approves Draft Cooperation Plan with Republic of North Macedonia in the Field of Healthcare


The Council of Ministers approved a draft Cooperation Plan between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of North Macedonia for the 2025 - 2027 period, as a basis for negotiations.
The Cooperation Plan stipulates the following areas of cooperation for a period of three years: primary and specialized medical care; hospital medical care; prevention of infectious and non-infectious diseases; prevention and control of AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases; epidemiological surveillance of infectious and parasitic diseases; regulatory acts in the field of healthcare; medical statistics; organization of medical insurance in emergency situations; other areas of cooperation.
Cooperation between research institutes, universities and medical institutions from the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia is also encouraged with the aim of exchanging experience in the field of medical science and information on medicinal products, development of new technologies and new medical equipment.
Cooperation in the implementation of the Plan will be carried out in accordance with the budget funds provided by each of the parties.
The implementation of the Cooperation Plan will contribute to the deepening of bilateral relations, the exchange of information, experience and specialists and will create opportunities for participation in national and international events in the field of healthcare.
