Paying Working Visit
to Germany

August 22 (BTA) - The Secretary General of Bulgaria's Economy Ministry Vladimir Tudjarov is paying a working visit to Germany, his Ministry said in a press release on Thursday.

Tudjarov took part in a working meeting with the leadership of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Duisburg, North Rhine-Westphalia. Bulgaria's Honorary Consul for North Rhine-Westphalia Werner Jostmeier and a representative of the Federal State's Investment Agency attended the meeting.

It was agreed that a delegation of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and of the German business community will visit several industrial zones in Bulgaria. "After familiarizing themselves on site with Bulgaria's good practices, the German partners will also get first-hand impressions of the investment climate in the country," the press release says.

The Secretary General also conferred with VOSS Automotive GmbH Managing Director Stefan Otto. The German company is represented in over 13 countries worldwide, and their plant went into operation in early May 2019. Dr Otto shared his good impressions of the business climate in Bulgaria and told Tudjarov that the plant has already been certified by the VW Group.

It emerged at the meeting that the German company is contemplating the construction of a new plant in Eastern Europe. In this connection, the sides considered the opportunities of the plant being set in Bulgaria, too, albeit in a different location. The Secretary General highlighted Bulgaria's advantages, stressing the availability of favourable conditions for the development of the motor vehicle components business in the country and the support provided by Economy Minister Emil Karanikolov and the Bulgarian Government.
