The Investment Council at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and the Bulgarian-Moldovan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) concluded a bilateral cooperation agreement on Thursday. The document was signed by the Presidents of the organizations Vladimir Tomov and Valeri Delibaltov.
The main objective of the agreement is to lay the foundations for mutually beneficial cooperation and joint activity in support of business and entrepreneurship in Bulgaria and Moldova. The partnership will also focus on joint participation in European projects and programmes active for Bulgaria and Moldova, as well as on the organization of business events. The two organizations are expected to exchange information, experience, ideas and investment projects; develop and present investment projects to investors, funds, banks and other financial institutions at home and abroad, BMCCI explained.
Addressing the ceremony, BCCI President Tsvetan Simeonov said the event was taking place at a very important moment for Moldova - just days after a European Union membership referendum was held in the country, which already has European membership prospects, BMCCI said.
BMCCI was established in August 2024 as an independent organization. Its aim is to promote, support, stimulate and develop bilateral trade and economic relations between individuals and legal entities from Bulgaria and Moldova, as well as to represent, promote and protect the economic and commercial interests of its members. The organization is a non-profit legal entity based in Sofia, BMCCI President Valeri Delibaltov told BTA.
