The siren system for early warning and notification of the population will be activated in Sofia, Burgas, Varna, Kardzhali, Montana, Pazardzhik, Pleven, Plovdiv, Ruse, Smolyan, Stara Zagora, Vratsa, municipal centres in these regions, municipalities in Vidin, Pernik and Yambol Regions, as well as in the settlements in the 30-kilometer zone around Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant.

The national alert and end-of-alert signals will be accompanied by voice announcements.

The aim is to check the technical condition of the siren system, to improve the skills for activating the system and broadcasting live information, as well as to train the population to recognize the signals.
