Foreign Ministry Expresses Concern over Escalation of Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict
Sofia, April 4 (BTA) - The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry is deeply concerned over the large-scale ceasefire violations along the Nagorno-Karabakh Line of Contact in the last two days, reads a statement released by the ministry's press centre on Monday.
The Foreign Ministry calls on the parties to the conflict to refrain from the use of force and from the escalation of tension, and expects them to strictly observe the ceasefire and renew their efforts in the search of a peaceful solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The Foreign Ministry confirms Bulgaria's position of principle that the conflict can be solved only through peaceful negotiations with the EU's cooperation and the OSCE Minsk Group serving as intermediary, as well as through active dialogue between the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
