BSP Leader Ninova: Bulgarian Socialist Party in Favour of Lifting Sanctions against Russia

Moscow/Sofia, June 28 (BTA) - The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) is against Bulgaria's participation in the maritime initiative of Romania in the Black Sea and Bulgaria's inclusion in regional military formats; also, the BSP is in favour of lifting the sanctions against Russia, BSP leader Kornelia Ninova said during the meetings she had in Moscow at the sidelines of the 15th congress of the United Russia party, BSP said in a press release on Monday.

Ninova conferred with Sergey Naryshkin, Chairman of the State Duma. The two discussed the sanctions against Russia, BSP's position for lifting them, togеther with the list of persons from the Russian Federation banned from travelling in the EU. Ninova said her party is in favour of developing good neighbourly relations, against confrontation and policies leading to military opposition in the region.

Ninova met with Boris Gryzlov, Chairman of the Supreme Council of United Russia. The two discussed the opportunities for enhancing the relations between BSP and United Russia, intensifying the contacts between the party leaderships, and developing the political relations and economic ties between Bulgaria and Russia.

Former Bulgarian president and current ABV party leader Georgi Purvanov also participates in the 15th congress of Russia's ruling party.
