Thirty-three Migrants Detained Near Seaside Town of Sozopol

Bourgas, on the Black Sea, October 4 (BTA) - Thirty-three migrants who identified themselves as coming from Afghanistan and Pakistan were detained shortly before 10 p.m. on Monday evening near Sozopol, the Regional Directorate of the Interior said. Also detained was the driver of the van, a 38-year-old Bulgarian person from Vratsa, Northwestern Bulgaria.

Twelve of the migrants are under-age persons.

The foreigners were taken to a police precinct, after which they will be placed in a special facility.
