Last Plenary Session of Parliament


Sofia, August 1 (BTA) - Regional Development and Public Works Minister Petya Avramova and Healthcare Minister Kiril Ananiev were the two ministers who answered the greatest number of MPs' questions during the seventh plenary session of the incumbent Parliament which ended on Wednesday, the National Assembly said in a press release Thursday. Avramova answered 45 questions, and Ananiev, 34.

The ministers in the Boyko Borissov cabinet answered a total of 218 questions and six queries.

The MPs who raised the highest number of questions were Georgi Gyokov from the opposition Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) (30 questions), and his fellow MPs Valentina Naidenova, 20 questions, and Georgi Stoilov, 13 questions, among others.

Since the start of 2019, Parliament passed 84 acts and 125 decisions, and made one address to the people of Bulgaria.

Parliament held 34 regular sittings and one extraordinary sitting.

The total time of Question Time in the last session was nearly 28 hours which took place in nine plenary sittings. IG/ZH//
