Leasing Companies'  Claims Stand at  BGN 3.248 Bln at End of June

Sofia, August 14 (BTA) - The total amount of leasing companies
claims under financial and  operational leases stood at 3.248
billion leva (3.9 per cent of GDP) at the end of June, 2015,
compared to 3.337 billion leva (4.1 per cent of GDP 2 ) at the
end of last June, the Bulgarian National Bank said in a Friday
press release.

At the end of the second quarter of 2015 these claims decreased
annually by 2.7 per cent  (89.6 million leva) on an annual
basis, while compared to the end of this March, they increased
by 3.3 per cent (105.1 million leva), the central bank's data
show.

At the end of June, 2015 claims under agreements for financial
leases of commercial and light commercial motor vehicles
amounted to 917.7 million leva, compared to 816.5 million leva
at the end of the same month of 2014. These claims increased by
7.9 per cent  (67.2 million leva) at the end of the second
quarter of 2015, compared to the end of the previous quarter.
Their relative share increased from 25.6 per cent at the end of
June, 2014, to 29 per cent at  the end of this June. Claims
under agreements for financial leases of cars amounted to 880.3
million leva towards the end  of this second quarter of,
compared to 821.9 million leva at the end of June, 2014. 

At the end of June, 2015, the financial lease claims on the
non-financial corporations sector amounted to 2.938 billion
leva, compared to 2.922  billion leva at the end of last June.
They increased by 3.9 per cent (110.3 million leva) compared to
the end of March 2015. The relative share of claims on
non-financial corporations in the total  amount of the financial
 lease  claims on residents stood at 91.8 per cent  at the end
of last June, compared to 92.8 per cent  at the end of this
June. Claims on Households and Non-profit institutions serving
households  amounted to 215.6 million leva at the end of the
second quarter of 2015, compared to 247.8  million leva at the
end of the same quarter of last year. The amount of these claims
 increased  by 0.7 per cent  (1.5  million leva), compared to
the end of this March.
