PM Borissov Confers with Qatari Transport  and Communications Minister

Sofia, April 18 (BTA) - Prime Minister Boyko Borissov Monday conferred with Qatari Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti, who heads an official delegation of Qatar to Bulgaria at the invitation of his Bulgarian counterpart Ivaylo Moskovski, the Government Information Service said.

The talks focused on the forthcoming signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company and the Mwani Qatar Ports Management Company. Borissov said that this document creates a good foundation for bilateral cooperation in developing port infrastructure and improving the interaction between the two countries' port administrations.

Satisfaction was expressed with the fruitful talks between the two countries' transport ministers during the Bulgarian delegation's visit to Doha in May 2015, and with the activization of the bilateral ties in this sphere.

The Bulgarian PM underscored that the strengthening of the direct contacts between his country and Qatar is of mutual interest in the spheres of business and education.
