Temporary Ban Introduced on Fishing in High-Altitude Water Basins

Sofia, April 30 (BTA) - A ban on fishing during the reproduction period becomes effective as of May 1 due to the beginning of the spring-summer reproductive cycle. The ban will be effective for water basins at an altitude of 500 to 1,500 m. and is imposed by an order of the Minister of Agriculture and Food, the Agriculture and Ministry said on its website.

The ban will be effective as of 15 June.

The Order also points out the water basins on the country's territory, where recreational fishing will be allowed.
