7 Kg Cocaine Seized at Danube Bridge 2 Checkpoint

Vidin, on the Danube, February 6 (BTA) - Bulgarian customs officers seized 7.19 kg of cocaine at the Danube Bridge 2 checkpoint at Vidin, on the border with Romania, the Customs Agency reported on Monday. The drug was uncovered during a check on an incoming Bulgarian-registered truck carrying used furniture from the Netherlands. Two Bulgarian nationals were travelling on the truck.

The substance was found in six packs wrapped in black foil and hidden in one of the sofas which were being transported. The two Bulgarians were arrested.
