President Rumen Radev congratulated Mark Rutte as he took over as NATO Secretary General on Tuesday. "I am confident that NATO will continue to successfully follow its goals to ensure stability and security," Radev wrote on "X".

"Our joint work based on mutual trust and understanding will contribute to strengthening the Alliance," Rumen Radev added.

Caretaker Foreign Minister Ivan Kondov also sent a congratulatory letter to Mark Rutte, Kondov's ministry said in a press release. "I am confident that under your leadership, the Alliance will continue to uphold its mission to ensure the defence of the Euro-Atlantic area while promoting stability and peace," Kondov said.
